Now the heart of the whole beast! Now before you give me hell. Let me explain.

This is a 305 out of a 92 Camaro. Is has 65,000 miles. It runs mint. I got the engine because a customer of mine wanted to do a 350 in his Camaro. So part of the deal was I get the old engine and transmission. So a 305 and TH700r4 are now in my possession

Swap the intake over to a carb. Add some later vortec heads. And a lt1 camshaft. And she'll be a respectable 275 horsepower little rat. And still pull down 18mpg. So. Now to strip the engine of all the emissions crap!

I'm a bit confused.

"Improved" and "Chevy power plant" aren't words I usually find in the same sentence.

TH series trannies on the other hand are nice.

I was hoping someone would find humor in my post. You can't build a better clone of my original truck. And use a 305. That's foolish!

Here's the real power plant

It's a warmed over 355. Lunati cam. Worked over vortec heads. Going to be running a performer rpm intake and a demon 750 carb. Should be around 380 horse respectively

Ahh think 305 would be more aamusing. "You put a chevy engine in a ford? It isn't even a 350? What is wrong with you?"

With a small cap hei there's plenty of clearance. Big the big style the firewall needs to be dented in a bit

Well, this is ironic.

While you're out running around chasing chevy parts for your Ford, Chevy Chase (the comedian) just entered Rehab at the Ford Clinic...

I don't think you could have timed this any better...:)
