611 will always be my favorite locomotive, it caught my eye when I was 3 years old and my parents took me to Roanoke to see it in the museum. Cool to think that I've stood in that cab when it comes blasting through here like it does every year now. It's a shame she's the only one left. 72" drivers and it could do 100+mph. At the time this thing was an engineering marvel, N&W had arguably the most advanced steam locomotives ever designed.

You all might be interested in this video, it details the building of the J-Class locomotives, you see 600 and 601 here, my guess is 611 wasn't around at the time.

Glad I'm not the only one who likes trains here!

The rising "Worm Moon" taken with my Iphone 8 braced of a tree by my garage.

Ran in the house and grabbed my camera, crazy how fast things change.

And to think, if the oiler had decided to work on my chainsaw I wouldn't have even seen it.

Came out neat, I need to clean my windows and mirror and experiment with this more.

I've been taking those kinds of pics for a while now. I personally love them!

Ranger/B2 mirrors seem good for it, can't get the same effect with my Dodge.

They did come out really good!

We played with it a little during our engagement photos, never caught the sunset in the mirror before.

The photographer was going to use the driver side mirror, I was like "no use the other one" "why?" "you will see"

USS Lexington. Corpus Christi Texas. Took that this evening. Tomorrow (Wed) I'll be heading towards Big Bend and then Marfa. Stopping at the King Ranch on my way.
