I think you'd be surprised how many of us are neither die hard Ford nor die hard 4x4 (despite the number of times we've told you that explicitly).

I like Fords for two reasons:

1) I like their interiors better than most other brands, but don't care for much of any of it after the early 2000s

2) I am a trained Ford Tech, do all my own work when I can (some things I just can't do) and better the devil you know, right?

Three of my four vehicles are 4x4, but up here in comes in handy from time to time. I can usually get by without it, but better to have and not need, right?

I said " some ". I also put myself in that group. Can't we all just get along.

Peut-être devriez-vous parler français?

I get that some of you guys are die hard 4x4 Ford guys, and I consider myself a FORD GUY, but I do also read about what the other manufacturers are doing and where and how and why they are doing it.
I do prefer Ford trucks. I admit that I was digging the Tacoma for a while, but not since I was able to compare it with the new Ranger side by side, and ride in both.

I've never been a fan of Ford cars though. Not even the Mustang. Speaking of which, there's nothing impressive about the name. If I think of 'Vette', I think performance. If I think 'Raptor' I think performance. If I think 'Mustang'...... nothing. Depending on what the package is, it can be a wuss, or something with muscle. It's 'name' really doesn't symbolize anything to me.

If I was going to give up trucks for cars, I'd go with an older BMW 3-series with a GM LS V8 conversion, or an older Pontiac (GM & government fuktards killed than brand).

LOL my goofy Nissan engine is in just about every car magazine since December. I am a Car & Driver subscription holder and read several other magz ( C&D, MotorTrend, and anything car related at the dentist or where ever) and this is where I get a lot of the nonsense that I spew into this forum. I rarely go in half cocked with no info on what I am talking about. I get that some of you guys are die hard 4x4 Ford guys, and I consider myself a FORD GUY, but I do also read about what the other manufacturers are doing and where and how and why they are doing it. I don't work on cars anymore, but I do read and learn about them all the time. So it may be frustrating to have an internet back and forth in this forum with me, because I don't know every thing about every ford engine and/or transmission/ drivetrain, but I am hear to learn and share what I DO know. If I don't know, I simply ask TRS.
I haven't been to the dentist since November and I got right in. No mag subscriptions, I had never heard of such a thing. Most of my free time is occupied with the old junk that I have so I appreciate you sharing that.

I have only had the two Fords I have now and a Plymouth Laser RS Turbo/Mitsubishi Eclipse. Awesome car, I would love to have another.

I have owned ford's and chevy's. I am going to a chevy 3/4 ton as soon as I find a good deal. I just don't like working on the 250's at all. Seems the cab has to come off for any moderate to major work.

I think they try to relate to the consumer and their needs. People apparently don't haul trucks on the bed of their truck anymore.
