Looking at getting a shop manual for the M5 I am working on for my Ranger that is out of a 2004 Heritage truck. But my dd is an '02 F-150. Book options cover 2000-2002 or 2003-2004. It would be nice to get the book for my '02 because I know they did change some things between '02 and '03 for the truck vs getting the book for just the trans going into my Ranger... but I don't want wrong info.

Looking at parts it doesn't look like anything changed...

If the instructions for the transmission are your only interest in the newer book get the older book. That part should be the same.
