The first year or two they had problems with a stretchy non tensioned belt. This excessively loaded the A/C compressor and made it tick. The fix was a new timing cover with provisions for a tensioner. It was a TSB that came out when they were under warranty so if nobody complained it didn't get fix and it would be pricey to have done out of pocket. They also had a thing for the timing chain tensioners at the same time which was handy because you had the cover off anyway. Would be for like the 11-12 model years though.
I believe 2016 is when they switched to aluminum.
Othen then bloated insurance rates because they cost so much to fix over steel
I have never heard of any of them having a problem one way or the other.
I am not 100% sure, but going off that video I think the dual fuel system might be new for 2018.
IDK... "CYCLONE" sounds pretty cool, even though chevy used it on the Typhoon/Blazer thingy. ( or was that the S-10/15 )if I was to buy an F-150 I would go Coyote. Sounds better too
