This all started back on the mass pike New York my clutch line popped out of the Slave. Fast forward after getting towed home I decided it was time to do a clutch cause my new job required lots of driving. New clutch resurfaced flywheel new slave new master resivore combo and new hydro line. I watched all the perfection videos on bench bleeding and thought I did it correctly gravity bleed the slave and started the truck and it wouldn’t go into gear so I measured how much the slave was depressing the pressure plate and it looked like a 1/4 inch but hard to tell on the angle I was looking and perfection says you need a 5/16 depress that’s just 1/8 more then what I thought I had. So I removed the master/resivore/ hydro line combo and it leaked the dot3 out of the combo cause I noticed the check valve was stuck open. My new question is could the stick check valve be causing my lack of depression on the clutch or is it still air in the line somewhere and should I bring the line back and defect it out to get a new one or try to get the check valve to shut and burp the system like perfection shows you to. P.s sorry about the long post I didn’t want to leave anything out.

Did they give you a shim for the flywheel?

I know what we did won't help you now but I would only ever use a pre bled system,

If I understand the problem is a bubble gets trapped in the master cylinder because of the angle it is install that so it pretty much requires being removed and bench bled

You didn't mention new Pressure plate?

1997 Rangers came with self adjusting pressure plate which would need to be reset if reused or you would have the problem described, pressure plate is too close to flywheel so can't release with new thicker clutch disc installed.

Or if you got a new pressure plate you may have got non-self adjusting which will take a few weeks of driving before it will release fully when stopped.
If there was air in the system that would make it worse.

Picture of self adjusting pressure plate here, see the 3 springs around the forks: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/oYrP__HIMHw/hqdefault.jpg
The springs need to be reset to reuse these, that requires a hydraulic press or jack

Non-self adjusting here: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/IAgAAOSwcUBYLwoH/s-l500.jpg
No springs

You can pull out the master then flip it upside down, push in on the rod, yes its hard to do, but that should get all the air out of the master, then reinstall and bleed from slave cylinder end.
