I have a 95 ranger extended cab with the hybrid front end and the 7.5 rear end. I have a 8.8 out of a 01 explorer with 4:10s and a front differential out of a 92 ranger with 4:10s now wondering what front axles should I use? Also what has everybody running for the e brake cables on the 8.8 swap? Any information is greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

What year axles would I run the axles out of a 92 Dana 35 anger or axles out of 95 ranger Dana 35?

Front axle shafts are the same size for all RBV TTB D35 axles (the D28/35 hybrid has inner axles with a smaller spline size, but the hybrid's outer axle parts are still the same as a regular D35).

I used the Explorer E-brake cables when I did the swap on my BII. I fabbed up a frame bracket to hold the cable housing, then put together a linkage by welding some steel strip and a couple 1/4-20 nuts to a couple of cable connecting clips from the original cables, and then connected it all together with some 1/4-20 threaded rod. This also allows some adjustment where the cables are connected.
