I have the Hella 550 fogs on mine (I can't recall if they had a "FF" suffix or not though)

They're definitely great lights, if a tad bit wider than they needed to be. I would recommend them.

I had the 500FF on my truck for awhile, the beam for mine was a short throw spot it seemed, it wasn't very wide. they worked, and were bright, but i would have liked a wider beam pattern.

Judging by what everyone's saying...I'm most likely gonna do it. The only thing that would stop me is a sweet stereo head unit

Just one more question. Are these street legal?

Most (if not all) lights that are labeled "fog" lights are street-legal if they use (up to) a 55W bulb. I couldn't tell you if some locales prohibit their use unless it's foggy/rainy though.

Technically, they probably are, but they "should" only be used when you can''t see other drivers, just for the sake of common courtesy...

I used to have a set of 500FF lights on my truck, actually 3 sets, because they kept breaking. They are made from some crappy plastic, and snap right off of your truck with the slightest bump. Other than being weak they are a great light. But I ended up with a set of Daylighters.

Look in my old brush guard here. You'll see the left light is completely gone and the bulb fell out of the right one. A set of these Hellas usually lasted me 1 maybe 2 trail runs, and that was it.

I'm happy with mine, I have 500ff fogs. Very good, focused beam, and because they have the metal dome over the bulb, they are completely street legal and have less glare than the normal headlights (yes, both my headlights and fog lights are aimed correctly). Mine are currently dead, but I think it might be problem on my part with the wiring.
Good lights as far as I'm concerned.
