I've had this problem for some time now. As the engine heats, the motor boggs down and WILL NOT go any faster then 25-30 miles per hour. I live in FL, so it happens during the day ALOT. very rarely does it happen at night, its cooler at night. i've replacerd the tfi module and the cats are GONEEE. no cats, its not the motor overheating the gauge is fine. maybe a sensor of some kind? tell me what you think.

Check your fuel pressure when it 'boggs down'

Could be a bad FPR or an overheating fuel pump.

start looking at the "air charge temp sensor" or one of the "coolant temp sensors" one is a one wire that runs the temp gauge and the other is a two wire that runs the computer. the air charge sensor is on the upper half of the intake manifold in the center runner about half way down. and the coolant temp sensor is in the top of the thermostat housing(its where the top radiator hose meets with the engine)

I'm with the O2 crowd. That's what mine used to do with the bad O2.

it most likely wont be the coolant temp sensor if it where it would be hard to start once warmed up and it would be running very rich.
