im lookin at a 4" rough country lift for my 96, was wondering if i need new brake lines and what kind of drive line adjustments need to be made, if any.

i started out with that lift but my tires rubbed to much so i cranked it up to a 6" lift. the only thing i have done is swapped the rear driveshaft for a one piece. if you stay with only 4"s your brake lines should be fine. i still have not changed mine

I also have the RC 4” lift. I put extended brake lines on mine but in hind site I could have gotten away without doing so…as far as swapping to the 1 piece drive shaft is concerned my carrier bearing was worn out before the lift so if the bearing is good it will last awhile… its a great budget lift but I wish I would have shelled out the extra cash to get the skyjacker 6” kit instead:icon_thumby: just my 2cents:D

I put extended lines on mine, but I also have 1.5" spacers under my springs and with those, it was nearlyimpossibly to run the stock lines. I am happy with my lift.

well i got the lift, tore the whole frone end apart, and was going to start to put the new brackets in only to find that they sent me F150 brackets, the rest was right but it was definately a royal waste of time tearing it apart.
