I'm replacing my broken slider with one from the junk yard. The guy at the junk yard said that there is no need to change the rubber seal. I wonder, should I change the seal?

That depends on if it is a regular or super cab. The windows install differently between the two.

I have the regular cab which using only the rubber seal the hold the window in place.
