Since the front cover's coming off, I'm going to put in a new harmonic balancer instead of the one with 250k miles that's currently installed. Any feedback on the Dayco Powerbond 'Premium' ($60) vs 'Street Performance' ($160) units?

Picked up the stock replacement balancer and a new motorcraft cam synchronizer. Had a conversation today with both the machine shop that did the work on the engine and COMP Cams. Both think I have the wrong cam somehow. Ugh...

Longer pushrods, low vacuum, low power, everything is pointing that way. It would not surprise me one bit if it was the wrong part in the right box.

Good lord .585 lift on that cam and its for an ls. No wonder you need longer pushrods and your power sucked. The E303's are only .498 with 110 lobe separation. Just absolutely sucks someone screwed you over.

Comp swears they don't produce cams for Trick Flow so the only explanation is a customer swapping the cam and sending it back to Amazon. Honestly, impressed at their packing job. I never had a hint that I was opening a box for the second time. Instructions, comp stickers, etc were totally clean and the cam looked mint. Frustrating, but at least Amazon is handling it at no cost to me

I know the new cam is in. I think there still is a few things to button up to get it running.

That's correct - the camshaft is slid into place, but I haven't had much time to work on it since.

Understandable... my Geo Tracker blew a head gasket in July of 2017, I've had the parts for over a year, a 2 weekend project (pull head first weekend, get head serviced and installed the next weekend) has taken about a year and a half... and I haven't even touched it other than doing a compression test...
