Hi everyone I’m new here! Like most I’ve been a lurker for a while and I think I’m gonna go for a sas conversion on my 2007 ranger it’s 2wd and one wheel peel, 4 cylinder 5 spd. I’m tired of it getting stuck and being boring. So here is what I think I know and want
Keep the 2.3 looking into 4x4 tranny setup I have the m50d r1 I believe
On the hunt for Bw 1350/1354? Manual shift
I believe I can swap the tail housing on my tranny with a 3.0 that is 4wd
I have a dodge 3500 steering box signaw?
Dana 30 4:10 HP
8.8 4:10 ls out of newer exploder hopefully
Gonna do coil spring in front
31 or33 for tires
Also it’s not gonna be a rock crawler or mudder it will be a dd
Boring I know but it will be fun and different
I know Dana 30 I sn’t super strong it’s dd for now
Don’t want to buy another truck that’s 4x4
Not gonna all happen fast but I got a lot of the parts lined up but want to learn a few more things before I pull the trigger first question is how do I hook up the steering box/ which lines off of power are the pressure and returns
Does anyone know if I’m right about the transmission tail housing swap
Does it have to be DOM pipe or is that a must just seems over kill for my build
I might just try to run the Jeep front steering
