Ranger Folks,
I am in the process of rebuilding the engine on my 1992 Ford Ranger 2.3, and as you can expect, lots of other parts are getting changed out while I am in there. So, of course I am putting in a new master and slave cylinders for the clutch while I have it apart. This is where I also discovered that the transmission is out of a junkyard, and not original to the truck. Researching a little more, I discover that in my 1992 truck, I have a 1995 transmission. This showed up in the clutch hydraulics when I had a mismatch in connectors from the master to the slave. In order to remedy the situation, I decided to put in the slave from a 1995 model, so the connectors would match. Now here is my question-
With the 95 tranny in the 1992 truck, is there a difference in the bell housing length, or the thickness o the flywheel that would make it not work properly? Are the measurements and clearances identical? Thanks in advance for your help with my poor little frankenstiened truck that I am sorting back out. Thanks in advance for your help.
