Connecting Headunit Wiring Harness to Ford Wiring Harness

I have my headunit harness and a Ford harness and what to go ahead and solder/shrink wrap the connections so it's one less thing to do. Also because I'm bored, but it looks like some stuff might not be needed? I'm handywith a soldering gun but never wired up any harnesses, is there anything I may need to cut/disregard?

RE-EDIT: Figured it all out, one last problem. The HU harness has one wire labeled "Power Antenna/Amplifier Remote" whereas the Ford harness has two separate wires for power antenna and amp remote. I plan on adding amp/subs to my system so what wire do I hook to what? Got all the rest of them figured out.

Well on the older rangers they had 2 harnesses, one for the power and what not and one for the speakers. Sodering harnesses is usually as simple as color matching. you have Red, yellow, black, Blue and orange in some cases on one and green/purple/grey/white with one of each color with the black strip. Some may not be reqired or used on certain stereos. Like my brother hooked up the orange wire for day and night mode, and I didn't

I forgot to mention before that it's a '94 Ranger the headunit is going into. I'm generally scared to death of electrical work of any kind. The colors involved deffinitely don't fully match, but I do have diagrams for each.

there will be some un-used wires and hook the amp up to the amp wire...the power ant wire will proly only keep the amp on when you use am/fm
