I am doing a head gasket rebuild on a Ranger, 5spd, 4.0 V6.
I have two questions, first on the upper intake manifold, when I put on the new gasket and bolted on the manifold, it had a few small gaps in the middle where the manifold sat on the lower manifold, is that normal??
Also, I was snapping all the sensors back together on the rear of the engine, and I got the bigger white connector done and the two oxygen sensors snapped together. However, on the harness there is a 4th attachment, it is black and round, I believe has 4 pins. I cannot find the sensor it attaches to. I connected the sensors on the upper manifold, injectors, and front temp sensor. I cannot figure out where this sensor is, couldn't find any wires dangling either. Hopefully you all can help me.
