My 93 ranger has slight pull to right. When I put the brakes on pull hard right so thinking it was brake related looked at brakes hose where dry rotted. So I replaced the hoses caliper pads. Still no change I was thinking alignment but never heard of a car or truck pulling harder from braking be cousin of aliment I did check rear brakes and cleaned lubed and adjusted them still no change

Lots of things can cause it to pull...

If the brakes all check out (rotors/drums clean & smooth, no grease or oil on the pads/shoes, etc.) then it very well could be alignment (caster and/or camber). I can see how bad camber on one side might cause additional pull during braking due to the uneven pressure it puts across the tire's tread surface against the road. Camber bad enough to do this is generally visible to the naked eye however.

I think a loose tie rod would cause pull with braking. Actually pretty much anything loose. Put on the brakes and the wheel is being pulled back. Any slop in steering system will allow the wheel to change direction slightly.

How about the drivers side front caliper? Is it working. Maybe you only have brakes on the right side.
