On a 96 2.3 auto ranger I have no parking brake warning light - ever (not at start up or any other time). Will this cause the ABS light to come on? I have an ABS light on always. Brakes seem to work fine, parking brake works as well.

Look at your E-brake assy, is the wire hooked up at the top of the assy?? As far as you ABS, have you ever ran your brake pads low?? You might have worn or damaged your ABS sensor...

Thanks for your reply, but I don't think I gave you enough information. My parking brake light never goes on even at start-up. I thouhgt it should light up with the other initial start up lights - is that true? I was wondering if the dash bulb was out would that cause the ABS light to go on maybe? This truck has no front ABS, only the rear sending unit at the top of the differental. I am new to the truck but I see that the front brake pads and rotors were replace not long ago. The ABS light goes on after start-up a few seconds later. Brakes seem to work fine but the rears could be weak and I would never know it.
