adapting F150 shifter to Ranger

2018-12-01 22.35.59.jpg

this tranny is from the 3.0 '99 rollover I stripped last summer. the BW 1350 is from a yard up near Bobby's area. I only bought the 1350 for it's shifting internals.
shifter is from a 2000 F150 4.2 auto with BW4406 manual.
currently it's only attached by 1 bolt, I'll need to move the other hole and finesse the location to fit the Rangers floor. maybe bend the handle a bit too.
still in the preliminary stages, need to do some thinkin & scratchin. :icon_confused:
the transfer case is in 2Hi, 4lo would have the arm level.

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
or just make one.

You need the most common lever:

A4LD shifter (on a C5 which obviously isn't fitting)

The two different style levers for the 1350, A4LD on the right:

Ford made at least two levers for the t-case too, looks like you have the longer one which is what you need.

More 1350 shifter fun here:

Also the detents are not really strong in the t-case, not sure how well they will stay in gear (or how well you can find a gear) without the gate like the stock shifter.
