I use Chrome. Firefox has blown goats for about 4 years now. Chrome seems to be getting better tho. Edge is a readied Internet Explorer and while it has a few nice features, it still is subpar.

I am thinking about reformatting my windows 10 to go back to win 7. I have had quite a few compatibility issues and partial lock ups and had several times had to reboot the computer to get it to work again (on average 2 or 3 times a day). The latest upgrade seems to have resolved the partial lock ups but it has need my ability to dual boot from win 7.

Have you tried "compatibility mode" or is that no longer an option? It did work great for some older programs on Windows XP...I asked the guy at the computer store about CM and he said it was still there...

Might help!

Yep, Didn't help.

Also the remote desktop app is a flaming pile of dog feces. And Microsoft SQL server 2012 wants nothing to do with windows 10. Had to do the above mentioned dual boot with win 7 to get that to work

What problem are you having with RDP on 10? I've yet to run into any issues with it. Honestly, we've bumped a bunch of machines within the IT department and I don't think anybody's reported anything significant.

Oh it works, but it has issues with the second monitor. If there is an app running in the background most times you will not be able to get to that app on a computer with one monitor. The only way around it is to make sure all apps are running on the main monitor before leaving the office and physically turning the second monitor off

I do not have any issues using a win 7 computer to connect, it seamlessly integrates both monitors into the one on the viewing computer.

So far we have had 3 ppl here at work running win 10 at home have the same issues.

For what it is worth, we use Cisco any connect to establish the connection and the work computer is win 7

Ah, makes sense that I wouldn't have run into that. In our environment, there aren't a lot of people running second monitors that we'd need to remote into. It's also a relatively small campus so we often go to most of the machines instead of hitting them remotely. Maybe 1200 machines total.

:icon_rofl:

Never heard of remote desktop catching fire...lol

There will probably be patches or upgrades eventually for that. I've never seen them released too quickly and if they can't fix it they usually post a TB saying not to try such and such.

Is a new server version coming out any time soon that might be compatible? That's usually the ultimate fix with more bugs than a cheap hotel.
