I have a 2000 Ford ranger with a 2.5L automatic in it and I was wondering if it would be too hard to put a 2.3l motor in it that was originally manual out a 1993 ford ranger. I have the complete 93 ranger with all of the wiring. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you

You will not find an auto ECU from 2000 that will handle a 2.3 because they didn't make a 2.3 in 2000.
Best to just swap in a good 2.5 or rebuild.
