I have a 1989 Bronco II with I believe a BW 1350 Transfer case. I am swapping in a D35 and 8.8 31 Spline. I believe my front drive shaft will work with the D35 but don't believe my stock rear will. What drive shafts will work in my new setup? Can I get one from a newer Ranger/Explorer? Thanks for any help.

Just get the rear flange off a 90+ ranger and put it on your rear drive shaft and it'll work. However, your front drive shaft will need to be shortened. The d35 snout is a bit longer, I think I had to shorten mine by 1"5/8". It's best left to a professional drive shaft shop, but if you are a machinist and welder you can mill the end down and weeks it yourself if you are careful and precise. Balancing is another story though.

Does anyone have a part number for this flange?

Hey TXBII, which part of Texas are you?

And no part number. You'll have to go junkyard hopping and just take one off of a vehicle. Use car-part.com to narrow your search for junkyards that still have 90's Ranger driveshafts.

The easier option is to search for someone here in the classifieds section that is parting out their truck. It'll be cheaper and can be shipped directly to your door step.

Good luck.

What about the flange from a 95 explorer? Will that work?

Yea man, I just passed Ennis from Dallas on Sunday. Passed through Waxahachie en route to Fort Worth a couple times, too.

The driveshaft flange from an Explorer should do the trick, too.

The TRS Banner is actually in Decateur / Wichita Falls at the moment. Been trying to hook up with MastuhWaffles for it. Heard of the Banner handoff?

Cool I have the flange that came off the 95 Explorer where I got the axle.

I have seen some pics of the banner and such but don't know much about the Banner hand off.

Where are you located?
