107 mph @ 50 degrees F. Clocked using gps. Starts shaking at that speed. Not sure if I just need to replace the ball joints that are going. Takes 1.75 mi of flat to achieve. If the air temp gets much higher than 50 it will not go over 100. Just know the sheriffs, what roads, and when to do it. Planning to drop M-benz 5 cylinder in and want to see what I can get to as my bro goes to 140 in his 300SD which weighs bout the same.

I don't know for sure how fast I've got my 85 2.3 since the Speedo doesn't work, but one night on my way home from work me and a coworker were hauling ass and the next day she told me that she was doin 105 and I was still pulling away.

That was with a pretty steep down grade on the highway with a 3.08 rear end and I believe I was running 29's at the time.

94 mph pinned in 4th. 5th lost speed. My foot didn't leave the floor for 45 minutes straight and I still got 13mpg on the trip according to my scan gauge.

I top out when caravaning with Sheriff squad cars around 80-85mph. Trying to catch up because I didn't make the light can get up to about 95-100 on a REALLY long flat. I really wish there was a good ole drag strip to find out real numbers. I mean I've clocked it, used the speedo, GPS'd it with multiple devices..... There are just too many variables -__- If I wanted speed though I think I would have gone with a 'stang not the truck LOL

Got mine up to 87 pasing on the hiway once. Not a bad ride, considering 154,000 coming on the clock. Didn't shake, as I replaced all vital front end parts last year, and had driveshaft ends rebuilt and shaft balanced. From a dead stop it does not take long for me to get to 60-65, as long as I don't miss a shift (M5OD w/3.73). Not a hot rod by any means, but still a great driver, especially if you want to horse around. I can wind her up to about 3800 on the tach, but don't want to do that to often as I worry about valve train failure, or snapping the timing belt. Its still kinda nice to have a vehicle that still picks up speed going uphill on the hiway, even though I might have to drop to 4th gear. :icon_thumby:
