Looking at toppers, does a topper off of an longbed S-10 fit a Ranger?

I think it would be too narrow Ranger beds are uniquely wider (63"?) than most, and with the taper and the curve of the the bed top, not much looks good on them except caps that were made for Ranger beds.

I just sold the one I worked so hard on refinishing because it didn't fit,

The guy that bought it had a Nissan Frontier and it looked like it was custom-made just for his truck,. 76.5" x 56.5". Was about 2" too long at about 3" in too narrow for my 6ft Ranger bed.

I saw one for sale cheap that said it was for either an S-10 or Ranger. I liked that it had a lot of glass on the sides to see out of. Had a newer Chevy fullsize behind it so I started looking at it closer and I did notice the sides were more angled than my cab.

Not going to be a long term thing, I was just thinking IF we do take this thing to the TRS Round Up in Ohio we don't have much more internal storage for gear than a motorcycle would. :icon_twisted:

Thats where I found this one.

Prices range from free to $300. I am in no big hurry.

My credo
Doing things wrong, until I get it right.
I saw this guy who had an S10 bed on a ranger frame. Said it pretty much was the same in all ways except wiring was a PITA.

Sold the one I repainted & found out afterwards it didn't fit and it was way too high to carry canoes on the truck. So I sold it and I bought another one that came off a ranger just like mine and it's a much better fit! In addition it's the same color although the clear coat is peeling which I may or may not fix some day

That ain't happening. :annoyed:

Mine is a longbed too, I don't think I have ever seen a longbed S-10 now that I think about it.

Looks a lot cleaner.

On one hand I want one without the bubble for better mileage. On the other hand I want to go full retro with one of the big white ones.

Undecided if I would peddle it after the trip or hang on to it. It wouldn't stay on but it could be handy to have.
