i have a 1989 ford ranger extended cab with a 2.9L engine
i am looking to get just a little bit more clearance for larger tires
but i am not wanting to spend a bunch of money buying a lift
i have heard things about putting explorer leaf springs in it to get more clearance
but i am not sure
if anybody has any idea about what could help me get some extra clearance please let me know

thanks

How big or a tire do you want to run? if you want to run a 33 and you dont want to spend a ton of money i would sudgest a 3 inch bl and coil spacers and shackles in the rear. that will give you plenty of clearance and for pretty cheap looking right around 300-400 dollars

ohh okay
what years of explorer can i get these leaf springs from?
and does the explorer have to be 4wd or can it be a 2wd?
and are there any other models that i can take leaf springs from to get a lift?
and if i do replace the leaf springs do i have to get new shocks as well?

and if iwere to want to get the leaf springs from an exploer it wouldnt be too hard would it?
i would just have to go to the dumpyard and find one
there should be plenty there because of cash for clunkers
