Not sure where to get those, but I used a hose clamp around the coil and the bucket and it works just fine. Just a thought.

I had those as a temporary solution, but one popped out while wheeling. I still have them, but I welded a piece of 1/4" steel about 1.5 long to the top of the coil bucket and haven't had any issues. Took about 5 min to cut it and weld it up.

I make my own. Haven't had a spring pop out yet. I go to my local steel supply And pick up scraps from the saw. I haven't been charged for one yet. Of course I have a little time, oxy/acetylene, and electricity in each.

I had a hose clamp doing that job, and that turned in to a terrible and almost dangerous drive home one night.

The day after I upgraded to this. Two wraps of 1/4" aircraft cable, with the recommended 2 clamps holding it. I think it's on par with the 'J' hooks, it's just what I decided to do at the time. I have 4 nuts to undo VS. the 1 bolt for the J hook.:buttkick:
Just sharing ideas.

I got the same things from the junkyard and they worked fine for me... with f150 coils. Not sure how they will work with ranger coils b/c I think they are skinnier metal.

I was also looking into a set recently, and instead of bending over and paying for j-clips, which look like they would work moderately at best, I found a better solution.

Buy a pair of cable clamps that fit your diameter of coils:

All you want is the u-bolt portion and the nuts. Drill a couple of well placed holes in the upper coil bucket, and then slide the cable clamp in. Bolt it down and the coil isn't going anywhere.
