im sure someone here has made these? i need to go from the 97 sohc 4.0 power steering pump to the 94 ohv 4.0 gear box.

i swore a buddy of mine had gotten an uncrimped chunk of high presssure line and use a barbed fitting with a hose clamp to attach it, on both ends of his line. but im not sure on that.

what has everyone done? does anyone happen to have the thread sizes for those connections i listed?

I Googled the thread needed for my 92 302 power steering conversion using a Bronco II steering gearbox and found the thread pitch/diameter/etc and went to the local NAPA and had a new line made. It ain't cheap though. I also took what was left of my old lines with me to match up and see what would work. Sorry I can't help more..

I'd probably just have a custom high pressure line made... the benefits far outweigh the cost. I had several high pressure lines blow up on an F150 I had because I tried to cheap out on it... several quarts of ATF all over the engine bay and driveway multiple times was not cool.

I used a line for a 91 Ranger 4.0 to mate my Explorer 5.0 pump to my '85 gearbox.

Explorer pump is metric, truck is standard.

I've got a couple friends that had this issue, we just bought conversion fittings to convert the pump and box to JIC, replacement lines are cheap and easy to get made, and everyone stocks JIC fittings.
