My credo
I poop in the furnace.
When I worked at my buddies scrap yard years ago we did some insane things towing, moving, and lifting things. The sketchiest was getting a call to pick up a 30 foot trailer that the tounge broke off on the highway. All we had was old 64 f-700 hook lift. For some reason the pto died so we couldn't move the boom or the winch. We picked the trailer up to the hook with a chain tensioner and then used about 20 fan belts to attach the trailer to the hook. Drove it 20 miles on the highway like that, trailer slamming into the back of the truck every time I hit the brakes. Funniest part was the cops watched the whole thing and never questioned us at all... They just assumed we were professionals... And sober... (I was btw i was driving, but the other 2 guys were about 8 beers deep) :icon_rofl:

It looks like that is were all the leaking campers go to die. Definitely looks like a camper graveyard. At least he never took it on the road. I still think that it was gutted bc that would have been heavy as hell on that truck especially being mounted behind the rear axle. Those straps are only rated for 400 pounds so 800 pounds of straps can haul a 5th wheel? I doubt it. I guarantee it was gutted or they put a ton of weight in the rear to make the front light.

And I have had those 400 lb straps fail just trying to hold a 150 lb transmission in place.

With enough down pressure it wouldn't want to move a whole lot. He wasn't going fast or over rough terrain to really work the straps much.
