On my 2010 plain jane my instrument cluster does not have a oil gague or volt. Can a cluster with oil temp gas and volt gague cluster be swaped in?

You probably can, but it will require getting the PATS system reset and maybe some other tomfoolery. If you are after those things specifically it will probably be easier and cheaper to install a set of mechanical gauges.

Yes, +1 ^^^

2004 and up Rangers have Digital Instrument clusters
What that means is that the instrument cluster has its own microprocessor(mini-computer), so it has a "network ID"
With key on the main computer starts up and does a "handshake" with the instrument cluster, if its ID is not correct(the one from factory) then you get a No Start, fails PATS(passive anti-theft system) test

So you can not change the instrument cluster without Reprogramming the main computer to accept the new ID, which a Ford Dealer can do, but.......................

The problem with a used, 2004 and up, instrument cluster is the Odometer, not even a Ford Dealer can change that. and they are not suppose to "remarry" instrument cluster to computer without exactly the same mileage, because it is also stored in the computer.
In the event of instrument cluster failure, 2004 and up, Ford Dealer is suppose to order a new Cluster from Ford and Ford will pre-set the odometer mileage to match Vehicle's mileage, then ship it to the Dealer.

So yes, add 3rd party gauges, volt meter is fairly simple, but use KEY ON 12v source or it can run battery down.

For oil pressure you will need a "T" fitting and a PS60 oil pressure sender, works with most 3rd party electric oil gauges.

You need to leave the current oil pressure SWITCH hooked up, computer needs it, you use the "T" so you can add your own oil pressure SENDER and reconnect SWITCH as well.

You can also use the Fluid pressure type gauge, run a tube from engine bay into cab for oil pressure fluid gauge.
I find the electric type easier to work with

Round.
My credo
I poop in the furnace.
I just bought a Usb charger that plugs in my cigarette lighter and it has a little LED volt meter built in. Cost me 8 bucks on amazon. Unless your going for the cool factor you can't beat that for cheap and easy volt meter.
