Ive got some questions for fleetbob1 about the Ronco.

I did some searches and came up with a 114" wheelbase for a FSB. The rangers wheelbases are 108, 114 and 125". So it seems the wheelbase between a regular cab long box ranger and a FSB are the same. So that makes things a lil easier there.

Now my question is about the front clip. Im sure the distance between the core support mounts and the firewall is less on a ranger than a fullsize, meaning there is a larger engine compartment on the FSB. Im guessing the engine is further back (relative to the core support) in the fullsize than in the ranger. Meaning it could have posed some problems with clearance between the back of the engine and the firewall/trans tunnel.

Did you encounter any issues in this area? if you did how did you get passed them?

I was excited to come across this build. I have a 88 ranger, and a 79 FSB.
What is the status of this build?
