I am having problems with the dome light and the door ajar light on the intrument panel staying on when both of the doors are closed. This only seems to happen when the passenger door is opened and then closed. Any suggestions?

It's a 2003, the light will stay on for a little bit and after awhile it turns off. It seems to malfunction if someone slams the door.

the switch is inside the door latch. open the door and hose the latch down with your favorite spray lube (trying to work it in behind and under the switch). this will free it up. sometimes lasts a few months...sometimes pretty much forever.

I tried to lube the latch, and I thought it was fixed. Then it did it again, I noticed that when it does turn off the light there is a clicking sound.

did you lube both door latches, just in case? if you did and they are still sticking, its time to replace the switches (see junkies post).

the clicking is probably the relay clicking off.

Well I only did one, but it seems like this won't just be a quick fix from what I'm hearing. It doesn't even really bother me, it's the gf that keeps complaining about it. Maybe I'll just make her ride in the bed. haha

spray both sides. spraying the latches fixes the problem 99% of the time....you just cant be scared to really go nuts with the spray lube.
