I’m dealing with the same issue. 88 ranger non ac truck. Looking to change over to ac while I’m doing a 5.0 swap. Anyone have any more information? So far I’ve not had much luck finding a case. Considering a vintage air unit if it will fit under the dash.

91-94 Explorer housing will work too.

I am going to use a second gen condenser, one less hose to go across the engine bay with my compressor on the LH side of the engine.

What belt system do you have?

Talked to nostalgia air today they say they can put a kit together and still use factory vents, and defrost ducts . That would get rid of the big box in the engine compartment. All the engine front dress is stock 89 mustang
