I'm fed up with messing around with wires and nonsense! Where can I get a COMPLETE engine harness.
The previous owner should hanged for what he did to the wiring on this truck.
The wires are bare everywhere, solderless connectors everywhere.
When I first got the truck it would not start, so I messed with it and got the fuel pump to run. All was OK, then, this morning I go out there and NO IGNITION SPARK! I've had it. I want to replace every wire under the hood. where can I get a NEW harness from?
Thanks

You may need to call your local salvage yard and see if they have one. You may also consider using the classifieds on this site. There is always someone doing an engine swap replacing their harness with a new one. Use the want to buy section of the classifieds. Good luck.

Painless might still make one for the 2.9 but a yard would be your best bet cash wise.

Check painlesswiring.com or give them a ring about one.

Thanks guys. I just went to town with a huge roll of wire, a soldering iron and another huch roll of heat shrink. Another 100,000 hours and I should have new wires in place of the junkers.

It would just seem to me that, with as many of these trucks around and their horrible wiring systems, that a company would make a direct replacement harness. Oh well.

Also, does $164.00 sound high for a clutch slave cylinder from O'Reileys? does to me.
