87 Ranger XLT.
When i bought the truck the original radio wouldnt even turn on, so i went to the boneyard and sourced another original radio from an 88 Ranger....its this style im sure yall are familier with....
Anyways, plugged it in and it works fine except the LCD backlight is out. I removed it, replaced the bulb, and still nothing. The LCD board itself seems to be working as i can see the numbers if i shine a light on it.
Do these lights recieve power from within the radio (as in, the radio is junk), or do they have a special wire on the radio harness that just runs that light (as in, problem is in the truck harness, not radio.)
Id like to be able to see my clock so i know how late im running for work.
Thanks in advance.
