Not exactly sure what the outcome of this build is going to be. I have a good idea but, just gonna go with the flow on this one. But what I do know, is that I want it to be somewhat of a zombie apocalypse/system crash vehicle, that will have no issues driving through forests and what not. lol. Something different and fun is the idea as well.

Its a 92 4.0L 5spd std with a manual shift t-case. Also a sun roof, errr, escape hatch/gunner hole. :icon_thumby:

Step one: fix clutch slave and radius arm bushings and LOUD valvetrain ticking... lifters are the prime culprit here.

my temp rad arm bushing/bracket issue fix... lol

Didn't have time to take out the radius arm properly(hack-sawed the front bushing, spread it with a flat-head screwdriver and pushed it on).. but thats okay.. sort of lol... because i found that i need both brackets replaced. the previous owner drove it with no bushings in the one side, and badly worn out ones on the drivers side. :icon_thumby: :annoyed: :nono:

have had a similar issue with my bushings, the previous owner ran a junkyard so he never replaced any front end parts, so the cross member is all fawked up. they had a knifes edge on them. after replacing bushings on both sides 3 times, and them coming out looking like a dog toy, ive decided to tackle it.

hopefully, some welding and grinding will alleviate the issue.

looks like a pretty clean rig, something great should come of it!

Im still driving it like that lol. they're holding up good so far lol. I got the new bushings and brackets, just waiting to do em, got other priorities on the go!

If I were you I'd just buy new radius arm brackets. they don't cost that much and will save you soooo much time and hassle. rock auto has em cheap.
