I want to make a topic for us lowered guys. It'll be a reference for checking out what tire/wheel size and combo will look like on the 2wd stock or LOWERED trucks (no lifted trucks please)

Here's the format I'd like to use, I'll do my truck as an example:

1995 Ranger, 3/4 drop, 205/70/14s

Let's see if we can get this as a sticky! I'll put up more pictures when I get my new tires.

Nice to see another Ranger with pipes in front of the axle. Mine have been like that since forever. However, it causes problems with my polished rims, I have to polish the right rear rim much more frequently than the others. Also the chrome lug nuts get heavily discolored and need replacing more frequently that the other three wheels (the current ones have a goldish hue on the right rear only). I guess my Lightning doesn't suffer in this regard since the rims are powder coated instead of polished.

I'll post pics when I can get some. My 98 isn't lowered as I don't care for the look all that much, and hate the ride. That being said, I run 255/60-15 tires in the back, and 205/75-15 in the front. For that nice staggered look.

Yet another Mustang Rimed Ranger

2001 Ranger

Stock height for now... plan on either just axle flip or explorer axle for rear, then the full DJM kit for the front.

Wheels 16x8 94-04 (I think) Mustang...no spacers or adapters needed, even hub centric. With 225-60/16 tires. Cant wait to get low...

My credo
Tighten it until it snaps then back off a 1/4 turn
DJM 4/5 kit. Front rubs very slightly, put 7/8 spring rubber on both sides, race car style, wraps a full coil. Doesn't raise the car, just limits the amount it can drop. Now only rubs on big dips and bumps. Flat of tire hits top of fender liner. 245/45-18 - 275/40-18. Rears are fine no issues.
Bullet 9 x 18 - 10 x 18
