Hi Group, I am looking to buy a 2004 Ranger FX4 with a heavily rusted front frame near the A arms. The truck has only 55,000 miles on the drive train. Is it possible to fix this problem? He said it is not cracked and it is still drivable and I am looking to keep the truck for a long time. Is anyone have the magic bullet and suggestions to tell me if this can be fixed or is the frame shot? He is asking $1000 for the truck as is? I do not know what to do and being a senior need someone with insights and advice. thanks for your helpful insights, Jim

I'm a senior I now have two Rangers one has virtually no rust it's a 93 long bed the other is a 94 in good condition but the whole frame is very very rusty, no cracks found yet.

I have a friend who's also a senior and excellent welder! There are frame parts available
Welcome aboard!
