Ok i have a 94 Explorer. and i replaced the shackles for the rear leaf springs...upon taking out the bolts that connect the shackle to the leaf spring, it pulled the whole bushing with it (inner metal sleeve and rubber) but left the outter metal ring of the bushings...how do i get this removed from the leaf spring so i can put in my new bushings? i tried pliers and vise grips and i pb blasted it to try and loosen it but no luck. Any recomendations?

they are ushauly rusted in there so bad its hard to get them out but take the spring off the truck and you can try punching it out with a socket and a big hammer

yea thats what i figured it seemed nearly impossible with it still on teh truck...but i figured i ask around and see if anyone had any special tricks...as for the bushings i got 2 of the rear bushings that go through the eye of the leaf spring for under 21 dollars from a suspension store close to me (huskySprings) maybe they will be relatively cheap there too lol

When I did my explorer 8.8 and leaf swap I redid the bushings. Took me over an hour to get one spring eye clear. I took it to a shop and they did the rest for 45 bucks.
