Just purchased a 2004 Ranger that needs the bumper cover and valance replaced. I would like to update the front end to the 2011 look. Is this a simple upgrade by just purchasing the new cover and valance or is it more involved?

Has anyone done this before?

More involved. Hoods are different for sure and there may be other small differences but the hood is a major one

Unless they switched halfway through the year, the hood's the same; the grill's a direct swap. Not sure about the valance panel. I picked up a 2004 mesh grille for mine, but ultimately decided I liked the 2010 h-bar grill better.

Yeah, I looked at pictures of the newer ones compared to my 2004 and I'm confused about what is different other than some grill detail?

My bad. I thought somewhere the grill changed and went further up onto the hood. Maybe I got my years crossed up.

I really like the '01-03 all-mesh grille look, but unfortunately the hood and header panel changed in '04 and I don't feel like changing all that. Anyways, here's my '10 with the '04 grille and the way it currently looks with the chrome h-bar grille back on. Totally plug-and-play. It's fun to have options.
