ok , i bought a set of white face guage covers for my ranger , and when i got them , the bag says they are for a 95 to 97 explorer , my truck is a 2000 ranger , will these work on my truck , plus they came with some sort of weird control box

these are the guages

any ideas

I think they will work the gauge cluster is the same in the explorer and ranger. The control box is to switch the color of the display

i do not know if it is to switch the color , it actually has a variable resistor , like it is a dimmer switch

I had those before on my 00 as well. IIRC it came with some strange on/off switch, like completely flat if that makes sense. Also, on mine anyway it had "Fuel Cap" where the CEL should be.

well these have the fuel reset where the door ajar should be , but the door ajar dont work on mine , and pluse , these look just like the ones in my 96 did , same exact setup
