well i missed my SD Diesel so much i had to get another diesel. And it was a smokin' great deal, I just couldn't stop myself.... not that I even tried.
project details...

1997 ford F350 power stroke with 120,xxx ish miles. already has an ATS tranny, gauges, 4" turbo back straight pipe, 8" lift. I'm figuring it's chipped too, but i haven't driven it yet. came with new 8" front leafs to replace the bent one. I payed $3200 for this red beauty!

here's why.... pretty easy fix in my opinion! I've already got a donor truck so it's no big deal, a fender, hood, valence, lights and grill. already planning the bumper to make for it. the rest of the truck is great! door pins are wore out, and no tailgate

the tire's wheels are temp. so don't worry about the pizza cutters!

it'll be my DD, i'm trying to sell my ranger now, the diesel's almost done...

Bought 37x12.5 BFG baja T/A's this week! and got a lot of work done on the truck today!

Got the firewall all straitened and pulled out and back into shape Put the new heater / AC box in and all the wiring hooked up, got the door all re adjusted and the fender on and adjusted, header panel, valence, lights, grill, and battery tray installed. Just a few things left, hood, paint, Replacing the front shackle that's ripped and building a new track bar and some other misc...

Sorry the sun was bright.

I like it--except the 8" rear lift blocks. I like the old square trucks a lot better than the new streamlined ones with fat fenders.

My buddy woulda killed to have that truck for his project. His plan was to swap the 7.3 powerstroke from a 97' F-Superduty (old school F450) into a 79 F250 crewcab.....we're now doing a body swap to put the 79's body on the F-Superduty's chassis as the F250's frame looks like cartoonish next to it.

not a fan of that either... it's actually a 5" lift block along with lift springs. As it sits now the front is lower even with 8" springs up front. so taking out the block and putting in a 2 or 3" one will be perfect. I like when they sit level.
And like my SD traction bars are in the works.

Well. been on the road for over a week now! just little things here and there to do now. Just moved the front shackles forward 2" to help with the longer springs. had to go out board of the frame and do away with the inboard ones.I totally scored the tailgate off craigslist for $50 and it's the same color and opens/ closes great! next big thing is paint! hopefully taking out the 5" rear blocks and swapping in 3" ones to level out the truck!
