Bronco #1:
This is a 1985 XLT with a 2.8L V6 and 5 speed. So far....the only thing I've done to the 85 XLT
is add some fog lights and a Fiamm dual air horn. In the next
few months I plan on adding: a 2 inch body lift, James Duff
3" suspension lift/dual shock hoops/steering stabilizer ,
33x12.50/15 TSL Thornbirds on 15x10 inch Eagle 559's, Edelbrock
headers, and a Stereo system consisting of: a Pioneer CD player, 2 140W
amps, and a pair of Rockford Fozgate 12" woofers to add
some thump. In the next year or so I plan on pulling out the
2.8L and 5-speed and putting in a Hi-Po 289 4V V8/C4 combo out
of an old Mustang or Cougar.
Bronco #2:
My other Bronco II is an 1984 with a stock 2.8L V6 4-speed. The
only modification to it is my hack job "Bobtail"
conversion. A few years ago, I had both rear side windows
smashed out and didn't want to cough up $350.00 each for them to
be replaced. So I grabbed a hack saw and the Makita hand grinder
and the rest is history. Future plans for it includes a 2 inch
body lift, fender trimming, a roll cage, and some 32"
Swamper Boggers. The body is in white primer and a paintjob is
planned sooner or later. Let me know if you need any more info,
and I will send update pics as both projects continue.
