Brian Swanson's 1985 4X4
1979 4X4 Bronco Chassis

These are photos of Brian Swanson's 4x4 Ranger.  He used a 1979 Ford Bronco chassis with a Dana 44 front and Ford 9-inch rear, both with 4.56 gears.  The rear axle uses a spool and the front axle uses a limited slip.

The rear leaf springs have been replaced with a 3-link system with coils, and sits about 3-inches higher than stock.

The Ranger rides on 36-inch TSL tires.

The Bed was shortened 12-inches to fit the Bronco chassis.

The Ranger now features a fuel injected 5.0-liter Mustang engine which is cooled by a radiator mounted in the bed.

This is one tough truck that can be seen on the trails in Minnesota.

Keep your eyes open!
