Ford Explorer & Ranger Leaf Spring Comparison |
|
Using Explorer leaf springs in the rear of a Ranger or Bronco II to gain some lift is nothing new. The Explorer leafs have been known to add an extra 1-1/2 inches of lift. In the photo above, a Ranger leaf is laying on the side of an Explorer leaf. You can see that the Explorer leaf drops down further than the Ranger leaf. Above is a little closer look at the previous photo showing how the Explorer leaf drops down lower than the Ranger leaf. With the leafs side by side, you can see that the Explorer leaf is 1-1/2 inches taller than the Ranger leaf in front of it.
