I was told by the guy behind the service counter at a Ford dealership my carrier bearing was bad. He told me it would be around $1000.00 for them to do it. After i chocked alittle i asked y so much. He told me the whole driveshaft needs replaced. Is this true or a bunch of i want all your money gimmick?

Well i saw online that someone said that you didnt need the whole driveshaft. You could just replace the bearing. I was hoping that was true. I dont want to have to spend the money on it.

Is it actually shot? What symptoms are you getting from it?

I was told by a dealer garage that it was bad. I dont feel any vibrations or hear any noise. I havent been able to crawl under it yet. They also told me i have bad front wheel bearing. I feel nothing or hear nothing. I am just wondering if they are fishing for some money.
