Fuses are good. Switch relay around still nothing. Blower motor works when jumping. Changed resister out of donor ranger. Power to fuses and to blower motor.
Could it be the switch? Going out now to try another relay just in case. This one you can feel click when turned off and back in.
Thanks for the help.

You really haven't said much about your truck, or the heater either
My 93 has a coil of sorts I think, inside the heater intake, it is just like an electric heater, the wires in it get red hot.
Sometimes an unwanted critter can get in there and build a cozy little nest with all kinds of dry leaves and sticks, which can be bad news for the truck.

The first time I found out about this I tore the entire heater apart and put it back together with galvanized screen wire held in place with self tapping screws, no more varmits

Actually at first I had tried to get some heat going to town and white smoke came out the defrost vents, that really got me thinking

It’s 2011 with 4.0 4x4 automatic. Changed what is called the resistor I guess.

So its not a "heat issue"
It a Blower/fan issue

Do any speeds work?
The resistor block just does the first 3 speeds, HIGH doesn't go thru the resistor block

Just FYI, on pretty much any vehicle, not a Ford thing
The Blower gets 12volts via a relay with key on(vents on)
The speed control is the GROUND wire on the blower connector, from the resistor block

Resistor block has its own Ground wire for LOW speed
Other speeds, and HIGH come from cab's Ground wire at the speed switch

So if only LOW speed works then switch in cab is not grounded
If only HIGH works the resistor block is bad(or its connector)

If no blower at all then no 12volts at blower or blower motor is bad

Yes correct it’s definitely the blower./fan issue.
it does not work on any speed with the switch in the cab.
I guess I have only tried it on defrost and not the vent setting.
I got another good blower motor I can plug in before even installing it then.
I guess most fords I had for years they usually squeal or almost freeze up.
Plus I put 12 bolts to the plug and sings like a sailor lol
I believe the fuses I checked were the 13 30amp under the hood. And seems like 27 on the kick panel.
Thanks for the information. And will let ya’s know what it ends up being.
I just went out and tried it on vent and others and nothing.
Day break will try plugging in other blower motor.

Well just plugged in the other blower. And it’s doing the same as the one that’s in it. Like spinning or just free wheeling.
This is with the switch in all the different speeds.
So I guess it’s not getting 12volts to the motor?
Will check it later today and see😡
I took a short video if I can figure out how to upload it lol

"Vent" in this case means any setting but OFF on the selector

For the blower to get 12volts from the relay the cab "vent" selector must be on any "direction" of air flow except OFF

Get a Volt meter or test light

You can hook up blower motor directly to the battery with 2 jumper wires
There is no polarity to TEST if it spins, so no + or - wire, it would spin either way if the motor is OK

Well thanks for your help. I been on it most of the afternoon.
I came to the conclusion after testing this and that. Figured I would check the switch in the cab.
Well here what I came up with😳
Fixed and back together and working again😊
I would say the switch went to heck and toasted the wires is my guess?

Seen resistor block connector/wires do that but never the cab switch wires

Resistor block has a thermal limiter inside just for that reason, lol

Glad you found the problem, thanks for updating the thread

You thought no maybe the switch went bad to do this possibly?
And not a problem. Love this sight❤
