My credo
Where ever you go, there you are.
Good evening,
My name is Jeff and I'm a first time Ranger owner. 1986 ranger at that. I've been scouring the forums here on the 2.9l and found some good info...so i decided to become a supporting member for the info already stripped, so thank you for that. HOWEVER, I'm determined to get this thing mechanically sound and plan on sticking around, picking the brains of those who know and providing info based on my findings. EEC-iv/FORD in general, is not a stranger, but the ranger and the cologne v6 is. I plan on creating a cool little street truck with the thing, maybe throw a 302 or 351 at it, but in the meantime, i'd like to have a functional vehicle and hope i can get some help.

Thank you, looking forward to a good time.

What's the worst that could happen?
Being an actual "Supporting Member" means you get a sweet little yellow banner under your name and the opportunity to get ignored and shamed when you ask a dumb question :p ;brownbag;.

That's my feeble attempt at humor this morning...

Anyway... a big welcome to TRS.
As I am certain others will mention, all the dumb queries have all been covered - many of them by me.

We need pics of everything - if there is no pic, it didn't happen. (y)

Thank you,
Sounds like that “sweet little yellow banner” is a great lure for criticism! Can’t wait until mine shows up! Hopefully it comes in ford blue :p.

The supporting membership typically happens automatically with the site software. Sometimes it stumbles and we need to call in the big guy to make it happen.

@Jim Oaks could you please check into this new supporting member.

Anyway... we're glad you found us

Welcome to TRS...

Welcome aboard. You could get one of these online to get started.

I started with an 87 2.9 short cab, short bed, four-wheel-drive, and I would’ve never gotten it back on the road and as far as I’ve come without these guys.

You are in good company. (if you have a thick skin).
