1354E to 1354m

I finally decided to do the swap , got a 1354 M from the wrecking yard for a hundred bucks with a 60 day warranty, no shifter.

Went to another yard today and got the shifter from an Explorer XL w/5 speed .

Man was I lucky to get the trans tunnel plate , shifter , vent to replace the push buttons , and I took the switch panel for the fog lights/rear window defogger..more on that later
All cost me 20 bucks .

The one part that many are going to have a hard time finding is the small lever that bolts to the transfer case that engages the shift lever.
I got lucky and robbed one off the TC on a shelf

It looks like I will be able to swap everything our next weekend ...I am very excited

After spending some time under the donner truck , it appears that the plug for indicator lights for 4x4 are a direct plug and play.

I will take pictures and document this swap for those that are considering this conversion
I also have the 1354E and all supporting hardware on the shelf if any one needs it

Where you located?? I'm looking for a 54E as I accidentally sent mine to the scrapyard thinking it was the 1350...

I had some time , since I am layed off for a few weeks

Today I did my manual transfer case swap .
Started @ 19 this morning and was done with the swap by 1.

I removed the entire E harness and module , the push buttons and all.

I got the plate and harness from an explorer when I got the floor plate and shifter.

Took it out for a test drive and I am very pleased everything works as it should .
