1996 Mazda b3000 4x4 not working

Hey guys looking to get a 1996 b3000 manual 5 speed, it has the manual transmission when I shift it into 4 high and low the lights come on but it doesn’t go into 4x4 any help?

You haven't given a lot of specifics but I asume, yeah I know how to spell it, you are referring to a system with the push button shift engagement which works well for some people, myself included.
We could use some more specific information including any details you are sure of, such as type of shifter, manual or automatic.
If you are not certain look at the number of shifters on the floor, basically one means electric shifter and 2 would mean manual
The electric is factory and the manual is extra I suppose, intended for much heavier use
Buttons on the dash would also be for the automatic shift

Lock the hubs. The electric shift transfer case isn't that reliable either.
