I'd just like to share that i finally attained my 1000th post! :yahoo:

It's also sad because I sold my ranger

2wd just wouldn't cut it for Moscw winters and I had hopes of finding a 3rd gen 4.0 4wd 5spd but everything that surfaced was way over priced and had too many miles.

So a few weeks ago I pulled the trigger on a super clean one-owner 1996 4runner SR5 4x4. it looks like it came off the showroom floor haha. And i know without a doubt this will more than fulfill my 4x4 needs.

(shitty cell phone pic warning)

Anyways the community here is great so i plan on stickin around and stoppin by every now and then. And I want to say thanks this forum is truly a good place to get help with your rig.

Says the guy who posts tons of problem threads about his truck! lol jk

I love rangers but these 5vz's are dead reliable. they're one of the best engines toyota's made. plus they kick ass off road with the right lift kit

touche. sometimes its better to throw in the extra dime up front instead of constantly paying to repair broken parts. but everybody has to start somewhere. believe me i would've loved to get into another ranger but they're priced almost as high as taco's and 4runners around here

Whatever works for you! I don't think its bad but you'll miss a ranger or at least having a small truck I bet.

Good luck with that frame..
I don't need luck you could eat off the undercarriage of this thing it's so clean. I wouldn't buy a vehicle with a rusty frame, that would be stupid haha

The one owner before me garaged it its entire life, and didn't have kids, not even a dog so even the interior looks new. The whole truck is mint :)

Yeah there will be times when i will miss having a truck bed, but wouldn't use it that often anyway. its not that big of an SUV either so its pretty fun to drive

Awesome man. I almost bought a 4runner as well. Very reliable, and can be made pretty badass with a lift and tires.
